Vision and goals

Segmenta’s vision is to become the Scandinavian market leader in SAP consulting, SAP implementation and SAP support in selected industries. Segmenta creates business value for the client based on an in-depth knowledge of SAP, combined with great insight into the client's business processes.

The goal is to ensure the greatest return on our client's investment in SAP software solutions through an effective coupling between our customer’s business-related goals, and the opportunities that SAP offers.

To further strengthen its business-related focus, Segmenta has chosen to concentrate its efforts on a smaller number of industries. We work primarily in energy & utilities, the service sector and the pharmaceutical industry. We have built up the competences and capacities needed to undertake and complete larger projects in these industries.

History

Segmenta was founded in 2000 by two of Denmark’s most experienced SAP consultants, Lars Damgaard and Kjartan Kristensen. Both have a managerial background at MAS/IBM, Denmark's first large SAP consultancy firm.

In 2003 the partnership expanded to include Thomas Stolborg, who has a background as a senior manager at Accenture. By then, Segmenta had grown to a size that allowed for the delivery of larger projects. At first Segmenta chose to focus its project activities on energy & utilities and the service sector.

Segmenta has since experienced heavy turnover growth and today is one of Denmark’s largest independent SAP consultancies.

In mid-2007 Segmenta opened its office in Norway and established a Nordic sales organisation, whose goal is to ensure continued strong growth, as well as to fulfil our Scandinavian vision.

In connection with these initiatives the partnership was further expanded to include Carsten Jørgensen and Tonny Pedersen, who both came from Appeer Norway, a consulting firm that merged with Segmenta A/S in mid-2007.
